The Office Referred Program (VOR) visa is similar to the BVOR program, but requires sponsors to cover the full cost of sponsorship. We will not provide income support. There may be situations that require the inclusion of new family members or relatives in the application. In this scenario, visa offices must add these individuals to the copy of the applicant`s agreement. Then, visa agencies must forward it to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M). An SAH can be a local, regional or national organization. He assumes full responsibility for the management of sponsorships within the framework of his agreement. An SAH must be in the community where the refugee or refugee family is likely to be relocated. An SAH may allow other groups in the community to sponsor refugees as part of its agreement. These groups are called “constituent groups”.
The sponsorship agreement is a written contract in which sponsors and candidates make commitments to each other. The sponsor usually files a sponsorship agreement (photocopy or fax) completed and signed with the sponsorship application. It should be noted that the agreement should not be the agreement in the application kit as long as it is clear that you can also work with other groups in the Community to sponsor refugees under your agreement. In doing so, you remain responsible for the emotional and financial support of the refugee(s). These groups are called “constituent groups”. How does the “mixed” model work? Refugees who have been relocated under the Blended VOR initiative receive financial assistance in the first 6 months after arrival through the federal government`s Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP). They are also fully covered by the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) for a full 12-month period in addition to provincial health insurance. Sponsors are responsible for the remaining 6 months of financial support.
The SAH and its support group also have a responsibility to regulate and emotionally support refugees during the 12 months of sponsorship.
